Max+vray-background to dark???

Postby dixieflatline » 08 Feb 2010, 16:42

Hi guys,

Im rendering something with vray in max. The final, rendered image has to be composed into another in Photoshop. Im using a background in rendering/enviroment.../enviroment map.
After rendering the background isnt the same. It gets a little bit darker with every setting i used. I have seen this happen before, and I didnt mind, but this time, as it has to be composed later its giving me a hadache. Is there a checkbox or something to set the background to original. I know i can use alpha masks, or just adjust brightness and contrast in PS, but I have to do it like this...dont ask why :-).
You can try it yourself, just set the background color to white and it will render in grey-ish tint.
enlighten me please, what am I doing wrong?
why is vray (or max?) changing the background image?
How can this be avoided?

Cheers from Croatia!
